Update: Six dead as passenger bus plunges into Tamakoshi River in Ramechhap



RAMECHHAP: A passenger bus has plunged into the Tamakoshi River at Seleghat in Ramechhap district, leaving at least six people dead.

The bus, bearing registration number Province 3–01–005 Kha 9975, was heading towards Ramechhap from Kathmandu when the accident occurred on Tuesday morning.

According to Chief District Officer of Ramechhap, Shyam Krishna Thapa, the bus was en route to Dhobi when it met with the accident.

So far, six bodies have been recovered from the incident site. CDO Thapa said preliminary information suggests that the bus had eight passengers on board at the time of the accident.

Rescue operations are ongoing, and further details are awaited.
