Foggy conditions expected in Terai today



KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing a partial influence of westerly winds, while a low-pressure system in the southwest Bay of Bengal is also having a limited effect on Nepal’s weather.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the weather is partly cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while it remains mainly clear in the rest of the hilly and mountainous regions.

The Division reported fog and mist in the Terai areas of Koshi, Madhes, and Lumbini provinces, with similar conditions expected at a few locations across the remaining Terai belt.

Fog and mist are likely to persist in most parts of the Terai until noon today, while the weather will remain partly cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. The hilly and mountainous areas are expected to remain mostly clear.

Tonight, fog is expected in some Terai areas, while clear weather is forecast to continue across the hilly and mountainous regions of the country.
