Dry landslide blocks Nuwakot-Dhunche road near Bhorle Bazaar in Rasuwa

RASUWA: A dry landslide near Bhorle Bazaar in Naukunda Rural Municipality-5, Rasuwa, has blocked the road.

A large dry landslide occurred near Bageshwari Temple along the Zero-Bhorle-Parchyang road section on Wednesday evening.

The road has been serving as an alternative route after the main road connecting Syafrubesi and Dhunche in Rasuwa via Betrabati in Nuwakot was disrupted by the recent floods.

The landslide has left travellers heading to Dhunche from Kathmandu via Nuwakot, as well as those returning from Dhunche, stranded on the road. Vehicles and teams carrying relief supplies to Rasuwa have also been halted due to the road obstruction.

Two bulldozers have reached the site and efforts are underway to clear the landslide and reopen the road.
