Harka Sampang takes a dig at PM Balen Shah in Parliament

KATHMANDU: Shram Sanskriti Party Chair Harka Sampang took a sarcastic jab at Prime Minister Balen Shah during the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

Speaking in the House, Sampang remarked on the absence of PM Shah, saying there is no practice of “bringing someone by force” if they refuse to attend when summoned.

“The PM is repeatedly invited, but he says he will not come. There is also no tradition of arresting or carrying someone here by force,” he said.

He also presented a proposal aimed at ending the ongoing parliamentary deadlock.

“Even when the Speaker insists that he must come, he does not agree. Sometimes he comes, and when he does, the situation becomes complicated depending on what is said,” Sampang said.

He added that due to the persistent political and procedural deadlock, he was tabling a resolution proposal. “I would like to present a resolution proposal today under Rule 84 (1)(g) of the House Rules, to pass a resolution to address the issue,” he said.
