KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has launched a parliamentary practice and leadership development training program titled starting Saturday.
The program is being conducted by the party’s Central Training Department at the Staff College in Jawalakhel, and will be inaugurated by party vice-president and Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle at 11 am.
According to the party, the training has been organized to enhance MPs’ legal and policy-making skills and to make Parliament more effective.
On the first day, General Secretary Bhupdev Shah will provide training on coordination between the party, government, and Parliament.
Similarly, Deputy Leader of the parliamentary party Ganesh Parajuli will present on the role of MPs in parliamentary committees, while MP Nisha Dangi will speak on parliamentary practice and the role of whips in party coordination.
Over the two-day program, whip Krantishikha Dhital will deliver training on political psychology, behavior, and ethical conduct, while Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal will brief participants on international diplomatic relations and aspects of state protocol.
The program will conclude on Sunday with a special directive address by party chair Rabi Lamichhane.
