Preparations intensify at Bhrikutimandap for NC special general convention called by Thapa and Sharma



KATHMANDU: Preparations for the special general convention of the Nepali Congress (NC), called by General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma, have intensified at Bhrikutimandap.

The special general convention, scheduled for January 11 and 12, has seen decoration work begin early Thursday morning at Bhrikutimandap and surrounding areas. From as early as 5 am, party cadres have been decorating the venue with four-star party flags and banners.

Work related to volunteer mobilization, stage construction, sound system installation and security arrangements is also being carried out simultaneously to ensure the event is orderly and effective.

According to party sources, the special general convention is expected to hold in-depth discussions on organizational review, the party’s upcoming political course, and internal reforms.
