Parliament Secretariat directed to implement report on May 31 House incident



KATHMANDU: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has been directed to implement the report submitted by a committee formed to study the situation that arose during the House of Representatives meeting on May 31.

According to a press statement issued by the Federal Parliament Secretariat on Wednesday, the Speaker was informed about the incident that occurred during the meeting of the House of Representatives on May 31.

Following the incident, the meeting of the House of Representatives held on June 1 had directed the formation of a committee to study the matter and submit a report within seven days.

As per the decision, a committee was formed under the coordination of Parliament Secretary Prakash Adhikari. The chief of the Secretariat’s Internal Service and Planning Management Division and the chief of the Technology Management Division were included as members of the committee.

The committee submitted its report to Speaker on June 8. After reviewing the report, the Speaker directed the Secretariat to take necessary steps for its implementation, the statement added.
