NC’s Alam elected from Rautahat-2



RAUTAHAT: Dr. Mohammad Firdosh Alam of Nepali Congress (NC) has been elected to the House of Representatives from Rautahat-2, securing 29,528 votes, Election Officer Sitaram Khadka confirmed.

His closest rival, Kiran Kumar Sah of the Nepali Communist Party, received 18,442 votes. Sheikh Sagir of the Rastriya Swatantra Party came third with 9,325 votes, followed by Ram Ashish Ray Yadav of the Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal with 2,960 votes, and CPN (UML) candidate Mohammad Atiullah with 2,382 votes.

Out of 108,872 registered voters in the constituency, 71,546 cast their ballots.
