RSP’s Amaresh defeats Gagan Thapa in Sarlahi-4



SARLAHI: Amaresh Kumar Singh of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won the Sarlahi-4 seat, defeating Nepali Congress leader Gagan Thapa.

According to the final results announced on Sunday morning, Singh defeated Thapa by a margin of 12,857 votes. Singh secured 35,688 votes, while Thapa received 22,831 votes.

Thapa had been serving in Parliament since 2064 BS. Initially elected through the proportional representation system, he later won three consecutive elections from Kathmandu Constituency-4.
