HoR election: EC to dispatch nine types of materials



KAHTMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) said to will dispatch nine types of election materials from the central office for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5.

In addition, the Commission has prepared to manage 37 types of election materials at the district level, Assistant Spokesperson Prakash Neupane said.

The materials to be sent from the Commission to each constituency include security check-posts, non-fading ink markers, stamp pads and pad ink, two types of swastika stamps, and ballot box stickers.

At the district level, the materials to be managed include sealing boxes, schedule forms, push pins, diaries that serve as poll books, marker pens, scales, stapler machines, stapler pins, scissors, glue sticks, and saucers for counting dampers.

They also include punching machines, ID card holders, inner and outer cards, male and female cards, voter serial numbers, polling station cards, plastic bags, sacks, twine, and packing tape.

Additionally, the list includes Nepali paper envelopes measuring 10 by 15 inches, Nepali cloth envelopes for holding tender ballots, 30 sheets of A4 white paper, record files with tape, thread, needles, scissors, felt cloth, matches, two-meter pieces of blank cloth, black and red gel pens, and a packet of four candles.

The Commission stated that all these materials will be carefully managed to ensure a smooth and transparent election process.
