Education officer remanded for five days over alleged public indecency in Lalitpur



KATHMANDU: An education officer accused of committing an obscene act against a young woman on a public road in Lalitpur has been remanded in custody for five days for further investigation.

According to the District Police Range, Lalitpur, Surendra Bhatta, an education officer at the Ministry of Defence, has been granted a five-day remand on charges of committing public indecency.

Police said Bhatta is being investigated under charges related to displaying obscene behaviour in a public place.

The investigation is ongoing.
