RSP set for clean sweep in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) are set to win all 10 constituencies in Kathmandu district, marking a historic sweep in the federal elections.

Results for nine constituencies have already been announced, while Sunil KC is almost certain to win in Kathmandu-2.

Ranju Neupane (Darshana) has been elected from Kathmandu-1. In Kathmandu-2, Sunil KC is leading his nearest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Kabir Sharma, by around 19,000 votes.

Rajunath Pandey has won in Kathmandu-3, while Pukar Bam secured victory in Kathmandu-4. Similarly, Sashmit Pokharel was elected from Kathmandu-5 and Shishir Khanal from Kathmandu-6.

Ganesh Parajuli won in Kathmandu-7, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha in Kathmandu-8, Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal in Kathmandu-9, and Pradeep Bista in Kathmandu-10.
