RSP’s Pukar Bam wins Kathmandu-4, defeating NC’s Sachin



KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Pukar Bam has won the election from Kathmandu-4, a constituency previously represented three times by Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa.

Bam secured his seat in Parliament on his fourth electoral attempt. He received 29,242 votes, defeating his closest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Sachin Timalsina, who secured 8,824 votes. CPN-UML candidate Rajan Bhattarai came third with 5,733 votes.

Similarly, Rastriya Prajatantra Party candidate Surendra Bhandari received 2,250 votes, while Nepali Communist Party candidate Indra Bhusal secured 657 votes.
