NC finalizes nine candidates for National Assembly elections



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has finalized the names of nine candidates for the upcoming National Assembly elections. The decision was taken during a meeting of the party’s Central Working Committee on Wednesday.

According to the party, Sunil Bahadur Thapa has been nominated from Koshi Province, while Dharmendra Paswan and Sanjat Karna have been chosen from Madhesh Province.

From Bagmati Province, Geeta Devkota has been named, and Jagat Timalsina has been nominated from Gandaki Province. Lumbini Province will see Basudev Jangali and Chandra Bahadur KC as the party’s candidates.

Additionally, Lalit Bahadur Shahi will represent Karnali Province, and Khamm Bahadur Khati has been nominated from Sudurpashchim Province.

The party has announced that these candidates will contest in the National Assembly elections scheduled for January 25.
