KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Chandra Bhandari is set to file her candidacy for the post of vice president.
Bhandari said she will contest for one of the open vice president positions. She had been defeated in the race for vice president at the party’s 14th General Convention in 2078 BS and is now preparing to contest the post again at the 15th General Convention.
Minendra Rijal, Devraj Chalise, Gyanendra Karki, Govinda Bhattarai, Deepak Giri, Surendra Raj Pandey and Madhu Acharya, among others, are also preparing to file their candidacies for the open vice president positions.
Dhanraj Gurung, Jiwan Pariyar, Bhishma Raj Angdembe and Binod Chaudhary are preparing to contest for the inclusive vice president position.
Pushpa Bhusal is preparing to file her candidacy for the post of women’s vice president. So far, no other candidate has emerged for the position.
