KATHMANDU: The bodies of 244 people who lost their lives in the Bhotekoshi River flood in Rasuwa on August 26 have been brought to Tribhuvan Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj.
Dr Gopal Chaudhary, head of the hospital’s forensic laboratory, said 244 bodies recovered from the flood had been brought to the hospital.
Of the 244 bodies, 161 have been temporarily managed, while 24 have been identified and handed over to their families and relatives, Dr Chaudhary said.
Meanwhile, 59 bodies are currently being kept at the hospital. The hospital said the remaining bodies would be managed after postmortem examinations, as some are yet to undergo postmortem.
