HoR sends Intangible Cultural Heritage Bill to committee for clause-wise discussion



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives has forwarded the “Intangible Cultural Heritage (Protection) Bill, 2026” to the concerned committee for clause-wise deliberation.

A meeting of the House of Representatives held on Monday unanimously approved the proposal presented by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadak Raj Poudel to send the bill to the relevant parliamentary committee for detailed discussion.

The bill was originated in the National Assembly before being tabled in the lower house.

During the same meeting, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam presented the “Bill on Revival of Provisions of the Nepal Special Service Act” on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah.

The House formally received the proposal as part of ongoing legislative business and proceeded with the presentation in line with parliamentary procedures.
