NRB issues foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 152.16, while the selling rate is Rs 152.76.

Similarly, the buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 177.92 and the selling rate at Rs 178.62. The UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 206.11 and sold at Rs 206.92, while the Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 194.22 for buying and Rs 194.98 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 109.15 and a selling rate of Rs 109.58. The Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 111.82 and sold at Rs 112.26, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 119.18 for buying and Rs 119.65 for selling.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.65 and the selling rate is Rs 9.69. The Chinese yuan is fixed at Rs 22.28 for buying and Rs 22.37 for selling. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 40.55 and a selling rate of Rs 40.71, while the Qatari riyal is set at Rs 41.74 for buying and Rs 41.91 for selling.

According to the bank, the Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.66 and sold at Rs 4.68. The UAE dirham stands at Rs 41.43 for buying and Rs 41.59 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit is fixed at Rs 38.40 and Rs 38.55 respectively. The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.33 and the selling rate is Rs 10.37.

Similarly, the Swedish krona has a buying rate of Rs 16.41 and a selling rate of Rs 16.48, while the Danish krone is set at Rs 23.81 for buying and Rs 23.90 for selling.

The buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 19.42 and the selling rate is Rs 19.49. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 496.52 for buying and Rs 498.48 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar is fixed at Rs 402.91 and Rs 404.50 respectively. The Omani rial is set at Rs 395.19 for buying and Rs 396.75 for selling.

Meanwhile, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary. Updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
