Proportional Representation vote counting begins in Kathmandu-1



KATHMANDU: Counting of votes for proportional representation in the House of Representatives elections has begun. Election Commission Information Officer Suman Ghimire confirmed that the process started in Kathmandu Constituency-1.

So far, out of 19,728 proportional votes counted, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured 11,562 votes. The Nepali Congress has received 3,664 votes, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party 1,752 votes, and the CPN-UML 1,152 votes.

Other parties include the Shram Sanskriti Party with 441 votes, the Nepali Communist Party with 392 votes, the Rastriya Pariwartan Party with 273 votes, and various smaller parties receiving less than 100 votes each.
