RSP dominates early vote count across Madhesh Province



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has taken a commanding lead in Madhesh Province in the ongoing vote count.

Madhesh Province has 32 constituencies across eight districts. Vote counting is currently underway in 25 constituencies, while counting has already been completed in seven.

Vote counting has yet to begin in Saptari-2 and 3, Siraha-3, Dhanusha-1 and 2, and Rautahat-2 and 3.

According to the latest results, RSP candidates are leading in all constituencies where vote counting is underway in the province. At the time of writing, RSP candidates are ahead by margins ranging from 280 votes to as many as 11,813 votes.

In Dhanusha-3, RSP candidate Manish Jha has secured 20,914 votes, while his closest rival, Nepali Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi, has received 6,851 votes.

Similarly, in Parsa-3, RSP candidate Ramakant Prasad Chaurasia has received 1,058 votes, while Nepali Congress candidate Surendra Prasad Chaudhary has secured 778 votes.
