Balen takes commanding lead over Oli in Jhapa-5 vote count



DAMAK: Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Balendra Shah (Balen) is leading by more than double the votes of CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

According to the preliminary vote count in Jhapa Constituency-5, Shah has secured 1,478 votes while Oli has received 384 votes.

Sameer Tamang of the Shram Sanskriti Party is in third place with 139 votes. Ranjit Tamang of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has received 59 votes, while Nepali Congress candidate Mandhara Chimaria has secured 42 votes.
