RSP’s Sashmit leads by wide margin in Kathmandu-5



KATHMANDU: Sashmit Pokharel of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has taken a commanding lead in the vote count in Kathmandu Constituency No. 5.

According to the Election Officer’s Office, as of 5:30 am on Thursday, Pokharel has secured 3,700 votes.

His closest rival, Pradeep Paudel of the Nepali Congress, has received 1,078 votes, while CPN (UML) candidate Ishwar Pokharel has garnered 699 votes.

Pokharel has maintained the lead since the beginning of the vote count and continues to widen the margin over his competitors.
