President issues ordinance on Constitutional Council



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has issued an ordinance related to the Constitutional Council after it was recommended for the second time by the government.

The ordinance, titled Constitutional Council (Functions, Duties, Powers and Procedures), was issued on Tuesday following a renewed Cabinet recommendation.

Earlier, President Paudel had returned the same ordinance last week, urging the government to reconsider it. However, the government resent the ordinance on Monday without any amendments.
