Govt declares Saturday and Sunday as public holidays



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to declare Saturday and Sunday as public holidays. The decision was made at a meeting of the Council of Ministers held today (Sunday).

Government offices and all educational institutions will observe these holidays starting from April 6 to facilitate petroleum supply, government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel said.

He added that office hours for government offices, except educational institutions, will be from 9 am to 5 pm.
