Peaceful voting underway in both constituencies of Bhaktapur



BHAKTAPUR: Voting is proceeding peacefully in both constituencies of Bhaktapur district for the House of Representatives election.

Polling began at 7 AM at various polling stations across the district as scheduled. In Bhaktapur-1, 37 polling locations with 119 polling centres have been set up, serving 52,066 male and 54,988 female voters.

In Bhaktapur-2, 39 polling locations with 114 polling centres are in place, covering 48,074 male and 50,277 female voters.

In Bhaktapur-1, a total of 25 candidates are contesting: 16 from political parties and 9 independents. In Bhaktapur-2, 32 candidates are competing, including 17 from political parties and 15 independents.
