Balen casts his vote at Annapurna School in Sinamangal



KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Balendra Shah (Balen), cast his vote today at Annapurna English School, Sinamangal in Kathmandu.

Although a candidate from Jhapa-5, Balen traveled to Kathmandu to exercise his voting rights at the Sinamangal polling station.

Voting for the House of Representatives elections began nationwide this morning under special circumstances following the September 8-9, 2025 Gen-Z protests. Polling is being conducted in a single phase from 7 am to 5 pm, with voters lining up as early as 6 am.

This marks the third House of Representatives election since Nepal became a Federal Democratic Republic, following previous polls held in 2074 and 2079 BS.
