Child killed after vehicle linked to RSP candidate hits her in Rautahat



RAUTAHAT: A four-year-old girl lost her life after being hit by a vehicle reportedly associated with Sagir Alam, candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), in Rautahat’s Ishnath Municipality Ward No. 4 on Thursday.

The victim, identified as Alpha Khatun, was fatally injured in the incident. Following the accident, the vehicle driver fled the scene.

This is not the first accident linked to the RSP’s election campaign vehicles. Earlier, in Nepalgunj, Banke, several people were injured after falling from a campaign vehicle.

Separately, senior RSP leader Balendra Sah’s entourage also witnessed tragedy when film journalist Dinesh Sitaula died after an accident during election campaigning.

Authorities have yet to locate the driver involved in Thursday’s incident, and investigations are underway.
