Balen, Kulman absent from RSP unity meeting

KATHMANDU: Balen Shah and Kulman Ghising were absent from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) unity meeting held on Monday at the Rastriya Sabha Griha.

Despite their absence, party sources said preparations are ongoing for a broader unity assembly, following agreements between RSP and allied parties.

Party leader Bhupdev Shah told Khabarhub that Monday’s meeting was primarily targeted at welcoming new members from some western districts. He confirmed that a larger unity assembly is expected to be held in the coming days.

Recently, RSP has merged with factions including Kulman Ghising’s Ujyalo Nepal Party, Bibeksheel Party, Khagendra Sunar’s party, and Balen Shah’s group. Bhupdev Shah said the upcoming grand assembly will formalize and celebrate this consolidation.
