British singer Rita Ora, Clean Bandit to headline ICC Women’s T20 WC 2026 finale

LONDON: British singer-songwriter Rita Ora is all set to bring music to one of cricket’s biggest stages, as she is set to headline the closing ceremony of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 final at Lord’s on Sunday, July 5, the ICC announced.

The day will also feature a special performance by electronic pop band Clean Bandit after the champions are crowned. The ICC has announced that music, culture and cricket will come together for the grand finale of the tournament, with two global music acts performing before and after the Women’s T20 World Cup final.

Ora will be performing at the closing ceremony, which will begin at 2:30 PM local time. The singer is set to perform at Lord’s, one of the most iconic cricket venues in the world, before the final gets underway.

The celebrations will continue after the match, with multi-platinum electronic pop group Clean Bandit taking the stage once the new Women’s T20 World Cup champions are crowned.

Australia, who have won the title six times, have already secured a place in the final. Hosts England will take on South Africa in the second semi-final at The Oval on July 2 to decide the other finalist.

The final of the biggest Women’s T20 World Cup so far is expected to be a full house, with cricket fans and music lovers set to gather at Lord’s for a day packed with entertainment both on and off the field.

The closing ceremony follows the tournament’s opening celebration on June 12, when the cast of the hit musical Wicked performed before the opening match between England and Sri Lanka.

Spectators have also been requested to be seated by 2 PM local time to ensure they do not miss the performances before the final. (ANI)
