KATHMANDU: The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in most parts of the country today, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division.
This afternoon, the mountainous and hilly regions are likely to experience generally cloudy conditions, while the Terai region will remain partly cloudy.
The Division has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the mountainous and hilly regions, as well as at one or two locations in the Terai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
There is also a possibility of hot daytime conditions in the Terai districts of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in the mountainous regions, partly cloudy in the hilly areas, and mainly fair in the Terai.
The Division has also predicted light rain or snowfall at one or two places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi Province, as well as in the mountainous regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
