KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) under the Federal Parliament is being held today. The Parliament Secretariat has stated that the session will take place at Singha Durbar at 11 am.
In the meeting, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam is scheduled to present a proposal on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah to consider the Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083 BS clause by clause. After tabling the amendments received to the bill for decision, she will also propose its passage.
Similarly, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is expected to present the Prevention of Money Laundering (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083 BS for clause-by-clause consideration and subsequently move its approval after incorporating decisions on proposed amendments.
Bills under the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration, as well as the Ministry of Health, are also listed for decision.
Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal is expected to table the Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 BS, while Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta will present the Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Relating to Health Sciences Institutes, 2083 BS for passage.
