KATHMANDU: President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor, held a meeting with Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane on Saturday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest between Nepal and the United States, with a particular focus on strengthening bilateral economic cooperation.
Gor shared on social media that discussions centered on enhancing economic partnership, expressing optimism about Nepal’s current political direction.
“Nepal’s new government has an incredible mandate for change, and the reforms they have announced are very promising. We look forward to working closely in the days ahead,” he wrote on X.
Gor, who arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday evening, also held separate meetings with Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle and Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal.
