NRB sets today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Saturday), with major currencies showing mixed trends.

The US dollar remains unchanged at a record high, with the buying rate set at Rs 151.56 and the selling rate at Rs 152.16, the same as the previous day.

The euro has appreciated slightly, with the buying rate fixed at Rs 178.51 and the selling rate at Rs 178.86, up from Rs 177.58 and Rs 178.28, respectively, on Friday.

Similarly, the pound sterling has increased, with the buying rate at Rs 206.39 and the selling rate at Rs 207.21, compared to Rs 205.10 and Rs 205.91 a day earlier.

The Australian dollar has also seen a marginal rise, with the buying rate at Rs 109.09 and the selling rate at Rs 109.52, up from Rs 108.60 and Rs 109.03.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti dinar remains stable for the third consecutive day, with the buying rate at Rs 494.08 and the selling rate at Rs 496.04.

The Bahraini dinar has inched up slightly, with the buying rate at Rs 401.35 and the selling rate at Rs 402.94, compared to Rs 401.32 and Rs 402.91 on Friday.

NRB stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated figures are available on the central bank’s official website.
