Pumdikot attracts visitors with towering Shiva statue



POKHARA: Pumdikot in the Pokhara Valley has become a new tourist attraction following the construction of a massive 51-foot statue of Lord Shiva. The site is gaining popularity among both domestic and international tourists visiting Pokhara.

The statue is part of a larger religious tourism project that includes 108 Shiva Lingams, Damru, Kalash, and other structures built on around 22 ropani of land. The aim is to develop Pumdikot as a religious tourism destination.

Located 13 kilometers from Pokhara city, Pumdikot offers panoramic views of the Himalayan range, Sarangkot, Fewa Lake, and the Pokhara Valley. Hundreds of tourists are now visiting the site daily to enjoy its scenic beauty and spiritual significance.
