Buddha Air aircraft skids off runway at Bhadrapur Airport



KATHMANDU: A Buddha Air aircraft skidded off the runway at Bhadrapur Airport in Jhapa on Friday.

According to Jhapa Chief District Officer Shivaram Gelal, the incident occurred after the aircraft veered off the runway during landing. Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) spokesperson Gyanendra Bhul confirmed that the ATR 72 aircraft, bearing call sign 9N-AMF, was operating a Kathmandu–Bhadrapur flight at the time.

All passengers and crew members are reported to be safe. The aircraft was carrying 51 passengers.
