NC holding Central Work Execution Committee meeting

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its Central Work Execution Committee today.

The meeting has been scheduled for 3 pm on Friday as internal discussions over the party’s general convention have reached a critical stage.

The move comes after General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma announced the postponement of the regular General Convention and proposed holding a special general convention instead.

Following this, party President Sher Bahadur Deuba held discussions on Thursday afternoon with Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka, senior leaders Shekhar Koirala, Minendra Rijal, Ramesh Lekhak, and others.
