NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Friday). According to the rates set by the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 143.65, while the selling rate is Rs 144.25.

Similarly, the buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs 168.73 and the selling rate at Rs 169.44. One UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 193.55 and sold at Rs 194.36, while the buying and selling rates of the Swiss franc stand at Rs 181.26 and Rs 182.02, respectively.

The Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 95.85 and sold at Rs 96.25. Likewise, the Canadian dollar’s buying rate is Rs 104.67 and the selling rate is Rs 105.10. The buying rate of one Singapore dollar has been set at Rs 111.70, with the selling rate at Rs 112.17.

For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs 9.17 and the selling rate is Rs 9.21. The Chinese yuan is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 20.54 and a selling rate of Rs 20.63. The buying and selling rates of the Saudi Arabian riyal are Rs 38.30 and Rs 38.46, respectively, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 39.30 for buying and Rs 39.47 for selling.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is Rs 4.56 and the selling rate is Rs 4.58. The UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 39.11 and sold at Rs 39.28. Similarly, the Malaysian ringgit’s buying rate is Rs 35.43 and the selling rate is Rs 35.57.

The buying and selling rates of 100 South Korean won are Rs 9.97 and Rs 10.01, respectively. One Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 15.59 and sold at Rs 15.66, while the Danish krona stands at Rs 22.59 for buying and Rs 22.68 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.46 and the selling rate at Rs 18.53. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 466.61 and sold at Rs 468.56, while the Bahraini dinar’s buying and selling rates are Rs 381.06 and Rs 382.66, respectively. Similarly, the Omani rial is being traded at Rs 373.60 for buying and Rs 375.16 for selling. The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160, with the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised as needed. It also noted that rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates are available on Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
