KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today, with the buying rate for one US dollar set at Rs 153.04 and the selling rate at Rs 153.64.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for one euro has been fixed at Rs 173.88 and the selling rate at Rs 174.56. Similarly, one British pound sterling is priced at Rs 203.28 for buying and Rs 204.07 for selling, while one Swiss franc is set at Rs 183.63 and Rs 184.35, respectively.
The buying rate for one Australian dollar stands at Rs 106.70 and the selling rate at Rs 107.12. One Canadian dollar has been fixed at Rs 107.93 for buying and Rs 108.35 for selling, while one Singapore dollar is set at Rs 119.88 and Rs 120.35, respectively.
The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.75 and the selling rate is Rs 9.79. One Chinese yuan has been fixed at Rs 22.83 for buying and Rs 22.92 for selling. Similarly, one Saudi Arabian riyal is set at Rs 40.76 and Rs 40.92, while one Qatari riyal is fixed at Rs 41.99 and Rs 42.15 for buying and selling, respectively.
The central bank has fixed the buying rate for one Thai baht at Rs 4.56 and the selling rate at Rs 4.58. The UAE dirham is set at Rs 41.67 for buying and Rs 41.83 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.53 and Rs 37.68, respectively. The buying and selling rates for 100 South Korean won have been fixed at Rs 11.30 and Rs 11.34, while one Swedish krona is set at Rs 15.34 and Rs 15.40, and one Danish krone at Rs 23.26 and Rs 23.35, respectively.
Similarly, one Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.50 for buying and Rs 19.58 for selling. The buying and selling rates for one Kuwaiti dinar stand at Rs 497.13 and Rs 499.07, respectively, while one Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 405.94 and Rs 407.53. One Omani rial has been fixed at Rs 397.51 for buying and Rs 399.07 for selling.
The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
NRB said the published exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. The rates offered by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s official rates, with updated exchange rates available on the NRB website.
