One-way routes designated for Hetauda-Kathmandu travel

HETAUDA: The district authorities here have designated separate routes for vehicles travelling between Hetauda and Kathmandu to facilitate traffic movement following the disruption of the Prithvi Highway.

Light vehicles carrying fewer than 14 passengers have been directed to use two different routes. Vehicles travelling from Hetauda to Kathmandu will use the Bhimphedi-Dakshinkali route via Kulekhani, while those travelling from Kathmandu to Hetauda will use the Pharping-Bhimphedi route via Phakhel and Kulekhani.

An officer at the District Administration Office in Hetauda, Santosh Subedi, said that trucks and buses travelling to Kathmandu have been asked to use the Tribhuvan Highway, while those travelling from Kathmandu to Hetauda have been directed to use the Kanti Highway.

Traffic on the Hetauda-Kathmandu road has increased significantly following the obstruction of the Prithvi Highway at Krishnabhir. The new traffic arrangement is expected to help reduce congestion and facilitate smoother vehicular movement.
