Foreign currency exchange rates fixed for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one U.S. dollar has been set at Rs 151.97, while the selling rate is Rs 152.57.

The buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at Rs 176.29 and the selling rate at Rs 176.99. Similarly, the buying rate of one British pound sterling is Rs 205.84 and the selling rate is Rs 206.66. The Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 188 for buying and Rs 188.74 for selling.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar is Rs 108.84 and the selling rate is Rs 109.27. The Canadian dollar has been fixed at Rs 109.41 for buying and Rs 109.85 for selling, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 119.40 and Rs 119.87 for buying and selling, respectively.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.52 and the selling rate at Rs 9.55. Similarly, one Chinese yuan has been set at Rs 22.62 for buying and Rs 22.70 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal has been fixed at Rs 40.48 and Rs 40.64, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 41.69 and Rs 41.85 for buying and selling, respectively.

According to the central bank, the Thai baht has been fixed at Rs 4.58 for buying and Rs 4.60 for selling. The UAE dirham stands at Rs 41.38 and Rs 41.54, while the Malaysian ringgit has been set at Rs 37.75 and Rs 37.90 for buying and selling, respectively.

The buying and selling rates for 100 South Korean won have both been fixed at Rs 11.11. The Swedish krona has been set at Rs 15.86 for buying and Rs 15.92 for selling, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 23.58 and Rs 23.68, respectively.

The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.39 and the selling rate at Rs 19.47. The Kuwaiti dinar has been set at Rs 494.77 for buying and Rs 496.73 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 403.08 and Rs 404.67, respectively. The Omani rial has been fixed at Rs 394.74 for buying and Rs 396.30 for selling. The buying and selling rates for 100 Indian rupees have both been fixed at Rs 160.

Nepal Rastra Bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It added that exchange rates offered by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s rates. Updated rates will be available on the NRB’s official website.
