Landslide near Tuin Khola blocks Muglin–Narayangadh road

CHITWAN: Vehicular movement along the Muglin–Narayangadh road section has been disrupted after a landslide occurred near Tuin Khola bridge.

According to Chitwan Police, the landslide debris has blocked both lanes of the busy highway, halting all traffic movement.

Ishwar Chhetri, supervisor at the Road Division Office, Bharatpur, said that continuous rockfall from the hill has made it impossible to resume traffic immediately.

“Once the falling stones stop, we will begin clearing the debris using heavy machinery,” he said, adding that the area remains highly prone to landslides during the monsoon season.

Authorities have urged travellers to check road conditions before embarking on the route and to exercise caution while traveling through the area.
