RPP Chair Lingden calls for effective measures to control corruption

KATHMANDU: Rajendra Lingden, Chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and a parliamentarian, called for effective measures to combat corruption.

Speaking on behalf of his party during today’s House of Representatives meeting, Lingden criticized the coalition government of the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML), claiming it had failed to meet the expectations of the people.

He accused the government of causing a sharp rise in the price of construction materials following the introduction of ordinances, and criticized the government for not delivering substantial improvements in good governance.

Lingden also drew attention to the lack of justice for the victims of cooperative scams, questioning why leaders close to the ruling parties had been spared while others were brought to justice.
