NC dispute: Leaders holding discussion at Deuba’s residence



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President, Sher Bahadur Deuba, who has been trying in recent days to reach an agreement on the party’s upcoming convention, is holding discussions with office bearers and former party office bearers today (Sunday).

After Saturday’s talks ended inconclusively, Deuba continued the discussions today. NC leaders said that the meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at Deuba’s residence in Maharajgunj. According to a party official, the main agenda is to finalize whether the convention will be regular or special.

Participants in today’s discussion with Deuba include Acting Chairman Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma, as well as leaders Bimalendra Nidhi, Krishna Sitaula, Dr. Shekhar Koirala, and Ramesh Lekhak.
