SINDHULI: One person died and another was seriously injured this morning when a passenger bus and a motorcycle collided in Dudhauli Municipality-2 Gagan, along the Madan Bhandari Highway.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Suryaprakash Sawedi of the District Police Office, 25-year-old Mahesh Kumar of Dudhauli Municipality-3 died in the collision. The bus was traveling from Pokhara to Katari, while the motorcycle was coming from Dakaha to Jhuga.
Another 25-year-old, Dipesh Kumar of Kamalamai Municipality-14 Chandanpur, sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment at Dudhauli Nagar Hospital.
The police are also searching for Shyam Kumar Bhattarai of Katari Municipality-3, Udayapur, who fled the scene after the accident.
