PM Oli calls all-party meeting

Rastriya Prajatantra Party not invited

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli has convened an all-party meeting to be held this evening at the PM’s official residence in Baluwatar.

Mahesh Bartaula, the chief whip of the ruling party, stated that the meeting was called to discuss recent developments.

Leaders from the CPN-UML, Nepali Congress, Maoist Center, and Unified Socialists have been invited to attend.

Bartaula said that Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba is currently outside the Balley, but they have been informed that he will return this evening.

“We will proceed with the meeting once he arrives,” he stated.

This meeting marks the first time that the pro-republican parties are coming together since the pro-monarchy protest in Tinkune, Kathmandu, on Friday.

Meanwhile the rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), a pro-monarchy political party, has not been invited.
