KMC police turned away at Nirmal Niwas while delivering fine to ex-King



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) police team carrying the fine notice returned from the gate of Nirmal Niwas in Kathmandu.

A team from the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police had arrived at Nirmal Niwas with a letter imposing a fine on former King Gyanendra Shah.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has imposed a fine of Rs 793,000 on the former king for polluting the environment by littering indiscriminately in the areas of Tinkune, Koteshwor, Sinamangal, and Balkumari during the pro-monarchy movement on Friday.

The police team had reached Nirmal Niwas on Sunday with the letter but was turned away by the security personnel and employees at the gate.
