Over Rs 290 million collected in revenue in six months



HETAUDA: The Transport Management Office in Hetauda has collected over Rs 290 million in revenue during the first six months of the current fiscal year 2081/82.

Office Chief Prabin Shrestha reported that the revenue was generated from various services, including vehicle registrations, license renewals, and the distribution of driving licenses.

Of the total, Rs 173.8 million was collected from driving license distribution, Rs 45.36 million from vehicle taxes, and Rs 45.6 million from the transport sector’s income.

During this period, the office registered 1,280 motorcycles, 513 small vehicles, 337 three-wheelers (including tempos and e-rickshaws), 321 medium and large vehicles, and five tractors.

Additionally, 3,611 licenses were distributed, including 2,163 new licenses, and 2,984 licenses were renewed.

In the previous fiscal year 2080/81, the office had collected a total of Rs 560.7 million in revenue across various categories.
