Madhav Kumar Nepal stresses need for timely unity among like-minded parties

KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal on Wednesday highlighted the importance of timely unity among like-minded political parties to strengthen the revolutionary and socialist movement in Nepal.

Speaking at the opening of his party’s Central Committee meeting in Kathmandu, Nepal said that a strong revolutionary force is essential to accomplish the socialist revolution, making cooperation and unity among revolutionary communist parties indispensable.

He said delays in forming alliances among parties with similar ideologies could undermine collective political objectives and slow down the progress of the socialist agenda.

Nepal also touched on the Gen-Z movement, noting that the youth involved have maintained continuous dialogue with his party and that the party fully supports their demands. He reiterated that collaboration and unity are crucial for both the party and the broader political movement.

The Central Committee meeting, scheduled to continue until Friday, will also review the Gen-Z movement, the post-formation situation of the new government, and strategies to strengthen party unity and cohesion among like-minded political groups.
