Germany provides aid to flood-affected households in Ilam



KATHMANDU: The Government of Germany has pledged relief and early recovery support materials worth Rs 6.39 million for communities affected by recent floods in Ilam district.

According to the German Embassy in Kathmandu, Ambassador Udo Volz signed a grant agreement worth 39,000 euros with WHH Nepal – Welthungerhilfe to implement the project. The initiative aims to provide immediate relief, early recovery assistance, and strengthen community resilience against future disasters.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Deutsche Welthungerhilfe by its Country Director Shakeb Nabi. The Embassy reaffirmed that Germany remains committed to supporting the people of Nepal, especially in times of hardship.
