Nepali Army organizing Fulpati celebrations at Tundikhel



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Army (NA) is organizing the Phulpati celebrations ceremony this afternoon at the Army Pavilion in Tundikhel, Kathmandu.

The event, with President Ram Chandra Poudel as the chief guest, will include a rifle salute, a cannon salute, and additional honors. According to constitutional provisions, President Poudel is the Supreme Commander of the Nepali Army.

The ceremony will feature a military parade, a Durga dance, and a flower shower from an army helicopter. Phulpati celebration is regarded as a unique and original program that preserves religious, cultural, and traditional values.

Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal, ministers, and other dignitaries are expected to attend the ceremony.

The Nepali Army has held this Fulpati celebration annually at the military pavilion in Tundikhel on the seventh day of Bada Dashain, the day of Fulpati.
